Who?

We are a bunch of passionate designers who like to join game design techniques and practices to the usual interaction design process. Modern web applications count more and more on social aspects and on the integration with external devices. On the other hand, game developers need to know more about how to raise and maintain a community.

Today the two culture have come in contact and started sharing experiences.
In this website we try to gather information and ideas about playful design. Someone call that Gamification, but we don’t like the idea of “just add badges and points”. Jane McGonigal calls this Gameful Design, which is pretty nice, but we’re not so sure all human activities can be turned into a game. Maybe sometimes just a playful attitude could be enough (but we like Jane and her work, which is of great inspiration).
